The Old School in Quohren has also been involved since Halloween 2018. The house with its tower alone provides a very good basis for Halloween. The tower with the clock already comes with its own atmosphere. The courtyard in front of the house then offers plenty of space to build creepy things. At this point I would like to briefly refer to the YouTube of Old School Haunter channel. There you can get a good impression and there are also instructions for Halloween projects.

2018/2019 The Beginning

It all started (as always) very simple. In 2018, there was a little decoration in the form of pumpkins. But then we got a little deeper into the Halloween theme. Looking for possible decorations and what to do, things really took off in 2019. We especially liked projections of ghosts and witches. After a little research, we found AtmosFX. This is a provider for digital decorations, or more simply short videos. And fortunately there was a set for beginners consisting of a projector and 16 videos. These were projected in the garage, a window and on the clock face of the tower clock. In addition, there were fog and light effects on the front door.

2020 – It gets bigger

Spurred on by the very positive feedback in 2019, the setups were to be expanded in 2020. The plan was in place and there were plenty of ideas. But unfortunately Halloween 2020 stood under the sign of the worldwide “Corona” pandemic. There were curfew restrictions and regulations on how many people could gather at once. We could have buried our heads in the sand at this point, but we rescheduled. The setup was adjusted so that everything could be seen from the street as we walked by. Candy was handed out via skeleton arms. This allowed us to keep the distance requirement of 1.50m. Again, Halloween 2020 we received a lot of praise from the visitors. Despite all the restrictions, we managed to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
