After a short break due to illness, the work on my animated prisoner finally continued. The cage made of PVC pipes and wooden frame finally got its rusty look and also the prisoner got some stuff, so he won’t catch a cold on Halloween.
The rust technique I used here was used for the first time in my projects and I am very proud of the result. The PCV tubes look like old iron bars that already have a little rust on them. And the wooden frames at the top and bottom are no longer recognizable as such either. For this rust technique we used rust primer, coffee grounds from filter coffee, black paint and finally matte clear varnish. And from these ingredients came a very good mixture, which was very suitable for the cage.
